Organic semiconductors

Our research in this area aim at developing new π-conjugated materials for applications in field-effect transistors and solar cells. Starting from anthanthrone building block, we synthesize p-type, n-type and ambipolar materials. Anthanthrone is an ideal building block for these applications since it can be chemically modified in few synthetic steps to give rise to new properties. In addition to small molecules, we also synthesize π-conjugated polymers based on anthanthrone.
